Brass & metal inserts for plastics

Whether you’re after brass, copper, stainless steel or coated ferrous metal inserts, Proact Engineering is your answer.

As a metal pressing specialist, we are more than capable of keeping up with any volumes you might require and work closely with all our customers to ensure production is always organised with no downtime. Whilst we are happy to look at smaller volumes, we excel at daily volumes in excess of 10’s of thousands. We (respectfully) challenge you to require more inserts than we can manufacture.

With coil fed progression tools or multiple stage tooling we can produce a wide range of components from basic parts to more complex multi-planed parts, with tapped holes, spot welds or rivets.

We can efficiently manage the full manufacture of your insert from raw material acquisition to subcontract post pressing treatments, such as chroming, zinc plating, heat treating and anodising.

Proact is a member of the PlastikCity network and will work closely with you to not just get you the quality components you require but can assist at the development stage to ensure designs are optimised for manufacture.

Case Study

Proact Engineering worked with a well-respected plastic moulding company to supply 2 types of inserts for the duration of their contract with Jaguar Land Rover, spanning 10 years and with further assurances we’ll commit to producing spares in the future post contract.

We produced regular orders of 100k of each part and managed the specialist zinc coating they required delivering them at regular intervals to maintain the requested stock levels. We kept a minimum of the raw material onsite but often additional parts as a backup should their production plans suddenly change with minimal notice
